Do you know a youth who’s got an interest in the wetlands and waterfowling? We’ve got just the event for you.  Check out the Youth Waterfowl Day Poster !!!!

The Green Bay Duck Hunters Association (GBDHA) is sponsoring Youth Waterfowling Day, Saturday August 6, 2016.

This event takes place at the Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve 2024 Lakeview Drive, Suamico, Wisconsin. We start at 9:00 a.m. and runs through till 1:00 pm. Pre-registration is required. There are no fees.

The event is open to all youth accompanied by parents or guardians.

There are five “hands on” stations the participants will visit. These stations will include: retriever dog training and handling, a BB gun range, a boat ride in the marsh, simulated layout field hunting and of course duck calling!

Each registered youth will receive a cap, event T-shirt and of course a duck call. A free lunch is served.

Eligible youth who complete the stations are eligible to possibly enter a statewide raffle for a chance to hunt at the The Horicon National Wildlife Refuge and Hunting grounds.

This free event is made possible by our sponsors and partners including the Brown County Parks, The Brown County Conservation Alliance, Cabela’s and Wisconsin Ducks Unlimited.
