July (Aug) 2017 Monthly Meeting

Special Notice – The August meeting date has been moved back to July 31, 2017!

The Green Bay Duck Hunters Association will meet at 6:00 pm on Monday, July 31, 2017 (not on Aug 7th) at the Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve.

This is our membership renewal/new member sign up Corn Roast and Brat Fry. Annual membership is still at $20.00.

Your membership includes the immediate family members and entitles you to attend and participate in great events such as the Road Kill Banquet and Auction, spring fish fry, August Corn Roast and Brat Fry, Youth Waterfowl Day, Learn To Hunt – Waterfowl and more.

You will find the monthly meetings, usually held the first Monday of the month, entertaining as we draw upon the knowledge and expertise of waterfowl experts including decoy carvers, authors, wetlands biologists and more.

You also get an opportunity to join in as volunteers with the annual WI DNR Local Goose Banding Project, participate with our “duck rescue” program and enjoy the winter checking Wood Duck Boxes and rehabbing Mallard Nesting cylinders among other projects.

Guests or new members always welcome.

See you there!

July Monthly Meeting

The Green Bay Duck Hunters Association will meet on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve.

Nicole Evans, a social scientist with the Illinois Natural History Survey, working with the Green Bay Conservation Partners, http://www.gbconservationpartners.org/blueprint/, will be inviting you to provide input on an upcoming conservation plan that encompasses the Green Bay and Fox River watersheds.

This project, known as the Landscape Blueprint, is being coordinated by the Green Bay Conservation Partners, a collective which includes federal, state, tribal, and non-profit members.

The final product will include plans for how and what to conserve across the entire region. Your input can help shape how this project unfolds.

As always, snacks and refreshments will be available.
Guests or new members always welcome.

See you there!
