Sept (Aug) 2017 Monthly Meeting

Special Notice – the September 5th Monthly Meeting will be moved back to Monday August 28 at 7:00 p.m.

The Green Bay Duck Hunters Association will meet at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 28th, 2017 (not on Sept. 5th) at the Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve.

The meeting topic will be the up coming 2017 Waterfowl Season. A DNR Warden will be on hand to answer your questions. The regulations pamphlets are available now at any DNR License outlet.

Visitors and new members are invited. Snacks and beverages will be available.

Aug (Sept) 2017 Monthly Meeting

Youth Waterfowl Day 2017

Youth Waterfowl Day – Saturday August 5th at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve, 2024 Lakeview Drive (CTH J) Suamico.

Youth are invited along with a parent/guardian to enjoy a hands-on experience including: retriever demonstrations, duck calling, BB gun marksmanship, layout blind hunting skills and more!

The event starts at 9 am and ends at 1 pm. The event is free and includes a T-shirt, camo cap, duck call and lunch.

Attendance qualifies each eligible youth in a state raffle for a Horicon Marsh Hunt and qualification for a waterfowl Learn to Hunt Program.

Sponsorship by Green Bay Duck Hunters Association along with Brown County Parks, WI DU, Cabela’s and the Brown County Conservation Alliance. Pre-registration is required by calling (920)448-6242.

July Monthly Meeting

The Green Bay Duck Hunters Association will meet on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve.

Nicole Evans, a social scientist with the Illinois Natural History Survey, working with the Green Bay Conservation Partners, http://www.gbconservationpartners.org/blueprint/, will be inviting you to provide input on an upcoming conservation plan that encompasses the Green Bay and Fox River watersheds.

This project, known as the Landscape Blueprint, is being coordinated by the Green Bay Conservation Partners, a collective which includes federal, state, tribal, and non-profit members.

The final product will include plans for how and what to conserve across the entire region. Your input can help shape how this project unfolds.

As always, snacks and refreshments will be available.
